Stephen Colosi
Biography

Born in 1989, I grew up as a 90’s kid watching old movie heroes like Schwarzenegger, Cruz, and Reeves. I was lucky enough to be born at the beginning of an age where the computer became a main support of the movie and TV industry.

During my high school years, we were fortunate enough to have a license to 3DS Max. My inspiration and passion to learn more about 3D, was fueled by movies like The Matrix, Toy Story, and Lord of the Rings,  just to name a few.

I continued to explore the 3d world, until it was time to graduate. I studied the art of Animation, at Durham College, in Oshawa, Ontario. Here I primarily used  Autodesk Maya to, as well as other software software that is used in a   production pipeline, including VXF.  I chose this particular school due to its high regard  in the industry, and a Diploma was awarded for completing a two year term in Digital Animation. A certificate was also awarded for completing a one year term in The Foundations of Art and Design program.

Wanting to specialize in a field that I enjoyed working in, I chose to attend Seneca College, in Toronto Ontario. Enrolled in the Visual Effects Post graduate program, this one year term program tailored my skillset in today’s industry leading software to create believable effects for film and TV. Software that was taught includes Maya, Houdini, PFTrack, Nuke, Photoshop, and After Effects. I also continue to learn other software packages such as RealFlow, 3DsMax, Vray, etc. A post graduate Certificate was awarded for successfully completing the course.

My knowledge of the overall stages of production, as well as my foundation in art and design, provide a steady platform in which I can perform digital works of art from.
